Foremark Legal is building an agentic outcome-based consumer law firm. Our vision is to turn all of consumer law into a contingency-first business, where lawyers do not get paid unless the client wins. As technology increases the capacity of lawyers, quality case acquisition become the bottleneck. We have built a unique legal underwriting engine that automates the acquisition, underwriting and litigation of consumer law. We are starting with personal injury, a $80 billion wedge market.

We are starting with personal injury, a $80 billion wedge market. In four months, we have grown to mid-seven figures in revenue, and raised a $6 million seed round from leading investors. The founders are a unique combination to disrupt a large, fragmented industry - a Lightspeed/ Sequoia India-backed consumer founder, an ML PhD, and a Cambridge Law / Harvard MBA operator.

Why

We are building a bench of law firm owners around the founder's office as we scale across personal injury and the wider consumer law market. This is an advisory role rather than an operating one. The people in it are practitioners who have built firms themselves and who want a hand in changing the business of law, toward higher quality legal service and better compensated attorneys.

Who you are

• Currently runs their own personal injury firm, and scaled it from 0 to $XXm in revenue. This is not a retired or between-things advisor. We want someone in the market now, whose judgment is current

• Has grown that firm through the stage where it stopped being a handful of lawyers and became an operation

• Has lived through the transitions we are heading into: bringing litigation in-house, scaling intake, building a case management function, adding practice areas

• Comfortable advising

• Interested in what we are building rather than skeptical of it, while still willing to say when it will not work

• Preferred: Although bar agnostic, credibility with the New York plaintiff bar would be useful.

Engagement shape

• Part-time and ongoing rather than project-based. A standing monthly or fortnightly session with Chia, plus availability for the decisions that cannot wait
