Chief of Staff
This is a high-agency role at the center of Foremark. You’ll work directly with the founders, take on the company’s most important problems, and turn decisions into results.
About Foremark
Foremark Legal is building an agentic outcome-based consumer law firm. Our vision is to turn all of consumer law into a contingency-first business, where lawyers do not get paid unless the client wins. As technology increases the capacity of lawyers, quality case acquisition become the bottleneck. We have built a unique legal underwriting engine that automates the acquisition, underwriting and litigation of consumer law.
We are starting with personal injury, a $80 billion wedge market. In 4 months, we have grown to mid-seven figures in revenue, and raised a $6 million seed round from leading investors. The founders are a unique combination to disrupt a large, fragmented industry - a Lightspeed/ Sequoia India-backed repeat consumer founder, an ML PhD, and a Cambridge Law / Harvard MBA operator.
Role
As Chief of Staff you will be the operating right hand to Foremark's founders and a force multiplier for the leadership team. You will drive alignment, make sure things get executed, and create leverage across the business as we scale.
You will own the systems that keep us aligned, meaning our rhythm of business, planning cadences, and leadership communications, alongside the highest-priority special projects. This is not a fixed set of tasks. You will take on complex problems that change shape as you work on them
The role is for someone hungry, with exceptionally high agency. You should be comfortable in ambiguity, take ownership by default, and create value without waiting to be told what to do.
What you will own
The CEO's agenda: what he is driving, in what order, and by when
The operating cadence: weekly leadership meeting, monthly business review, quarterly planning, with the agendas, pre-reads, and follow-ups that make them work
Metrics and reporting, including the company dashboard, and noticing when a number moves before anyone else does
Culture and internal communications: what gets written down, where decisions are recorded, and how we talk to ourselves as we grow
Goal setting and tracking, and the follow-through when something is off track
A genuine share of the strategic thinking alongside the founders. You will be in the room where the calls get made and expected to have a view
Look around corners for strategic decisions and operations, and help propose solutions and solve problems before they occur.
Working directly with Viren (CEO) and Chia (President) to get done whatever needs to get done
Who you are
4 to 6 years with a structured foundation behind you, most likely banking or consulting, plus real operating time at a startup or supporting a founder directly
You write well, and you would rather send a memo than a deck
You are incredibly detail-oriented. You catch inconsistencies, dropped follow-ups, and small errors before they become larger problems
You have judgment about what needs a founder's attention and what does not, and you follow through on someone else's priorities as reliably as your own
You are comfortable holding a fast, forceful operator to a date, and you do it in a way that gets welcomed rather than tolerated
This is not for you if you have only ever analyzed rather than owned an outcome, it is difficult for you to defend an opinion or disagree and commit, or your instinct in a disagreement is to defer. This role is not an executive assistant, and calendar and travel administration are out of scope.
